The Sikh Faith

The Sikh faith is a monotheistic faith.  It is quite a modern faith, when compared to other world religions, and its principle scripture, Aad Guru Granth Sahib,  (“AGGS”), is a compilation of writings, written in first hand rather than by any intermediary.  The founder, Guru Nanak, was born in 1469, and spiritual knowledge was passed on to successor Gurus, until Guruship was passed on to AGGS  (alternatively known as Sri Guru Granth Sahib)

It makes sense to me to begin my quest by considering first hand writings of  enlightened beings who lived not too long ago, and hence it will begin by considering AGGS.
