Japji Sahib

Japji Sahib is the first shabad (hymn) to be found in  Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

It is accepted by some to be a condensed summary of the main  teachings of the Sikh Faith.

It comprises the Mool Mantar, a salok (epilogue) to the Mool Mantar, the main body of Japji Sahib in 38 stanzas, and also a final salok to the whole.

It was composed by Guru Nanak Dev ji, the founding Sikh Guru.
